Forests are the lungs of the earth. Should the destruction of the rain forests be prohibited? How is it possible to protect the forests?

- Yes strojnger enforcement is needed to protect the rainforests
- NOBODY should plow down the rain forest. UNLESS you all want to die because the trees are what makes air on our planet. I think it should be a law not to plow down the rain forest.
- Yes. We can protect them by not destroying them. Or putting a massive cage over them. With lasers on the cage to laser all the baddies.
- Creating laws to protect the rainforests is rather simplistic - assuming you mean tropical rainforests such as in Brazil and Ecuador. Its basic supply and demand. You need to consider that the people doing the cutting are very poor. They are trying to grow crops to feed their families and selling lumber, coffee and other products to the world's wealthy nations. The way to stop so-called "destruction" of the rainforests is to stop buying products coming from the rainforests. Its rather hypocritical to sit on our high horse with a cup of coffee on a mahogany table, and a car with a tank full of gas in the garage and say we should ban cutting down trees in the rainforests.
