Destruction?

I have been having dreams that involve destruction lately. One started out with me being a killer, and having a strange vault in my apartment with dead, alien-like bodies, and I was having a difficulty coping with who I was. Another dream I had last night involved some force that was destructing my town. The sun started to set very low and very fast at 4pm then a huge tital wave hit and people tried to climb very tall trees to get away and hope to stay alive. Some people would die because the trees would turn into pumpkins. But I always live when I have these sort of dreams. There always seems to be an end. I don't know why. Can anyone explain their interpretation?

  1. i think you're submerged by stress. or maybe by some work or task that you have not completed. maybe the base/foundations of what you're currently doing is not very stable and you're afraid that once you accomplish what you want to, it'll all come crashing down and falling appart. don't worry about these dreams too much, just try to take it easy on yourself.
  2. To see violence in your dream, indicates unexpressed anger or rage. The dream may also reflect repressed memories of child abuse. Interesting that you survive all the bad things happening. It shows you tend to prevail or cope with it in life.
  3. It sounds like you are wrestling with other "identities" within yourself. The aliens representing a foreign aspect of yourself, locked deep in your subconscious.. killing them is an attempt to get rid of your demons or a way to overcome your weaknesses. The other dream sounds like you again are trying to get away from something... the towns people represents multiple emotions within yourself (whether from various circumstances, relationships, or decisions). The setting sun represents you feeling that you are running out of time. My unsolicited advice, simplify your life. Get your emotions in order, and cut out whatever stresses you can from your life.
  4. that you always live means that you will prevail over your current difficulties. i agree with Julie B, i bet you have had a lot of things going on in your life recently. with the holidays over though, and regular schedules resuming this week, my guess is that your dream state will start to relax. maybe you just need to simplify things in your life and not stress over them too much. if there is something that is weighing heavy on your mind, there are things you can do to alleviate that burden: family/husband/kids driving you crazy, hire a babysitter and take some me time, even if it's to hide away in a room for an hour or two. work/coworkers/boss running your life, cut back on your hours student with high courseload or difficult subjects, drop a class if you can, or hire a tutor to help you catch up or keep up. house/apt getting untidy and out of control, clean it do you go to/watch a lot of horror/suspense movies? if so, they can effect your dreams too, turn the tv off and listen to quiet music.
